I designed these colouring pages when I realised most colouring books on the market use only patterns. I wanted some that incorporated affirmations that you can absorb and learn, as you colour.
Then also a few designs just to make you giggle!
The simple act of colouring takes your focus and attention away from yourself and those things that are racing through your mind
and directs it toward the present activity.
In this way, it is very much like a meditative or mindful exercise.
Mindfulness is an important skill to develop. When thoughts are focused on a single, simple activity, your brain tends to relax. The reality is that our minds need rest, just like our bodies, to function at it’s best.
Mindful colouring is an effective way to reduce symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression, while simultaneously encouraging you to unwind, reduce tension and restore feelings of well-being.
